What is a Registered Dietitian (RDN)?

A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is a licensed nutrition expert with specialized education and training in food, nutrition, and health. RDNs must complete a degree, supervised practice, pass a national exam, and maintain ongoing education. All registered dietitians are nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are RDNs.

What should I expect for my first virtual appointment?

Your Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will send you a few forms to fill out ahead of time including a 3-day diet record and nutrition intake form. Please be sure to give yourself enough time to prepare and complete these forms before your initial appointment. You will receive a virtual link to join your Registered Dietitian through Google Meets with the date and time. Be sure that you have good internet connection and are ready to engage with your video on!
